Raising of height of Spullersee dams; two dams of 186 m and 270 m crown length, respectively, were raised by pouring additional 410 cm high concrete layer on top of old crowns; after setting, 118 holes from 76 to 101 m diam, from 12.9 to 41.3 m deep, were bored, steel cable anchors were installed; holes were filled under pressure with special water-tight cement mortar, and anchors were prestressed by means of hydraulic presses; after 4 day period, prestress was checked and brought up to its final magnitude; beside raising reservoir's capacity, measures described ensure increased stability of dam by anchoring it to subsoil.
