Interaction of density, soil type and time on piping resistance of cohesive soils
Laboratory studies were conducted on commercially pure Kaolinite and black cotton soil to determine influence of dry density, undrained strength, hydraulic gradient and time on piping failure in earth dams; analysis of test results confirms progressive nature of piping resistance associated with volume expansion.
