Geotechnical aspects of machining natural stones with diamonds
Attempt to show processors of natural stones how geologists can best help them in improving their cutting and polishing techniques; assessment of what conditions are present in sample which may influence its reactions to sawing, drilling, polishing or quarrying processes; properties of "granites" (igneous rocks) which, it is thought, have greatest effect on "machineability" are discussed.
