Shear transfer in reinforced concrete
Thirty-eight pushoff specimens were tested, some with, some without pre-existing crack along shear plane; shear-friction theory was found to give conservative estimate of shear transfer strength of initially cracked concrete; method is presented for calculation of shear transfer strength in initially uncracked concrete, based on P.Zia envelope to Mohr circles representing failure conditions for concrete.
