Relaxation stresses and strains in prestressed concrete
Computation method is suggested to arrive at stress loss in prestressing steel using strain equations, and to investigate influence on deflection of plastic deformations in steel and concrete; results of study show that strain-time relationships of steel relaxation and concrete shrinkage and creep are sufficiently similar to express them in one empirical formula, and that it is possible to develop mathematical treatment to evaluate total stress loss from stress losses due to different sources.
