Experimental study of reinforced concrete frames subjected to alternating sway forces
Preliminary investigation of behavior of reinforced concrete, pin-supported portal frame subjected to sway forces involved testing of seven frames; four frames were subjected to cyclic sway forces and three frames were loaded to failure with single sway force; objectives were to study influence of placement of reinforcing steel at joints on ultimate load capacity of structure and to examine effects of cyclic loading on behavior of reinforced concrete frame.
