Method, specially applied to fire grading of prestressed concrete members, is based on calculation of temperature fields; if strength and deformation characteristics of constituent materials at temperatures under consideration are known, then load-carrying capacity of structure can be determined from temperature fields; taking into account some critical considerations concerning fire endurance test procedures, principles of calculation of load-carrying capacity under fire exposure are outlined; numerical evaluation of characteristic examples.
