Relation between compressive strength of concrete and effective cement-water ratio calculated from hydration rate of cement
Strength of concrete is determined by degree of hydration of cement in concrete; using this assumption, rate of hydration of cement was experimentally obtained; it is shown that linear relation exists between effective cement-water ratio and strength of concrete; formula for expressing this relation is presented; thus, if cement-water ratio is given, compressive strength of concrete at arbitrary age can be estimated.
