New acceptance and rejection criteria for concrete specified by strength, in accordance with new amendment of Standards Assn of Australia Code for Concrete in Buildings, are discussed; statistical basis for new criteria is explained; minor inconsistencies introduced by new rules relating to concrete specified by proportions are pointed out and effects of aggregate unit weights are examined.
