Curvature and solution of eccentrically loaded columns
It is demonstrated that curvature curve of column plays same role as deflection; necessary steps in obtaining solutions are reduced considerably; expressions for curvature curve of eccentrically loaded column of rectangular cross-section at all stages of plasticity are derived; it is shown how solutions for critical loads of column may be obtained directly; analytically obtained results of column curves are compared with existing solutions and good agreement is observed.
