It is emphasized that civil engineer who desires to reach management level will have to obtain more formal and informal education and training in management and administrative procedures; ASCE and other organizations have sponsored courses and seminars of varying lengths of time, and more of training will be needed for those who aspire to management positions, rather than to specialization in strictly engineering work.
