Foundation is circular slab cast on rock 14 m below ground level; lower part of stack has ID of 9.40 m and upper part has ID of 6.60 m; stack-fumes are evacuated through steel tube isolated with rock wool; two parts of stack were cast in sliding formwork; portland cement was used also at low ambient temperature, fresh concrete being warm, hot air blown into stack and outer surface covered with tarpaulin.
