Additives for asphaltic mixtures
Chemicals used as additives improve asphaltic coating of aggregates and greatly reduce film stripping caused by moisture; immersion-compression and other tests show that additives reduce loss of stability of asphaltic mixtures due to detrimental action of water, that they have no detrimental effect on compressive strength of mixtures, and that benefits afforded by additives have considerable permanence.
