Experimental investigation of effects of high temperatures on efficiency of workers in deep mines
Experimental procedure; 6 men of average physical fitness were chosen from mine workmen with record of regular attendance; analysis of results of 80 tests; conclusion is that when wet-bulb temperature approaches 90 F and effective temperature 93 F, air conditioning becomes necessity. (See also - (discussion) n 481 Nov p 33-46; abstract in Min J (Lond) v 227 n 5800 Oct 19 1946 p 832-3)
