Spanning 152 ft, 6-in. thick, ribless, reinforced concrete dome roofs gambling casino of Quitendinha Hotel; 2.8-in. thick concrete cone protects dome and transmits loads to it through multitude of hinged 6-in. square columns; design of dome was based on Dischinger membrane theory.
