Various kinds of floors in plant of National Screw and Mfg Co, Cleveland, described, including asphalt, brick, concrete, magnesite, maple, marble, terrazzo, tile and wood block; not only floor surfaces but also sub-flooring and floor bases receive continued maintenance inspection; subfloors in all buildings are checked about once every 5 yr by spot drilling to determine whether undersurface shows any signs of decay; where condition is found, floor structure is renewed to eliminate hazards.
