Carlisle-Kingsmoor widening on L.M.S. railway
Work undertaken, in addition to provision of new river bridge, included widening embankment and duplication of dry bridge, widening cutting north of river with retaining walls, and underpinning road bridge abutment; bridge was constructed on curve of 42 chains radius; superstructure consists of precast reinforced concrete T-beams.
