Box members distinguish concrete bridge
Illustrated description of concrete box girder bridge built in Tacoma, Wash; deck consists of 4 box girder cells; girder thus formed is continuous over 3 spans of 95, 115 and 95 ft, respectively; bent up longitudinal bars were omitted from narrow webbed beams; however, adequate strength was provided by vertical stirrups and by main longitudinal bars, placed both top and bottom with no bends.
