A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Two hydraulic problems anticipated from construction of dike across Tokyo Bay are considered -- water circulation and 'harbor paradox'; response of water level oscillations to incident waves from open sea would not necessarily be reduced even if opening width of port or harbor is decreased; problems are discussed on basis of numerical experiments; new technique has been devised for investigation of response characteristics of bay to obtain all information during only one run.
