Fundamental studies on settlements of large diameter steel pipe piles
Results of theoretical and experimental studies on settlements of large diameter steel pipe piles for both open and closed states of lower pile tip; load ratio of equal settlements for open and closed states decreases as diameter of pile increases, thickness of pile decreases, length of pile decreases, elastic proportional coefficient of friction decreases, and Young's modulus of soil increases; it is desirable to increase thickness of pile over length of about 1 m from lower pile tip as well as to attach partitional plates at lower pile tip. In Japanese with English abstract.
