Rectangular concrete sections under torsion
Analysis of data obtained by subjecting 24 rectangular concrete specimens to torsional moments of increasing magnitude until failure; study of stress distribution, modulus of elasticity in shear, and ultimate strength, leading to conclusion that ultimate strength of spirally reinforced section can be approximated from strength of plain concrete section and amount of reinforcement.
