Large deflection analysis of heated plates
Analytical method is presented for analyzing rectangular plates heated in their midplane and subject to deflections beyond small deflection realm; method accounts for elastically constrained plate boundaries and allows prediction of membrane stresses, deflections, and buckling temperatures for various heating conditions, loading conditions, and various plate sizes; results for specific cases of heating and edge constraint are presented analytically and in form of curves.
