Elastostatic problem of perforated square plate
Stress distributions and stress concentration factors are presented for square plate with stress free circular central hole loaded with uniform normal stresses and zero shearing stress on outer boundaries; symmetric and antisymmetric loadings are considered for hole diameters varying from 1/10 to 9/10 of plate dimension; results are compared with existing theories and thick ring analogy is demonstrated for large hole sizes.
