Some rheological properties of polyvinyl chloride plastisols
Apparent viscosities of 16 PVC plastisols, involving 4 plasticizers and varying concentrations of polymer, were studied; plastisols containing dialphenyl phthalate or actyldiphenyl phosphate were found to be pseudoplastic; those containing trixylenol phosphate were dilatant at all concentrations, while those containing trioctyl phosphate were dilatant at lower concentrations of PVC but became pseudoplastic as PVC concentration was increased.
