Hydration of gypsum plaster by compact technique
Description of method for measurement of length changes of rigid porous body (compact) of gypsum plaster formed by compaction of powdered material, which is subsequently exposed to water in liquid or vapor phase; it enables observation of physical and chemical effects of wetting by water and hydration, as reflected by apparent volume change, from moment that water comes in contact with surface of gypsum plaster; results for two types of plaster are discussed.
