Flexible gypsum plasters
Water in wet gypsum plaster is replaced with natural rubber latex to improve flexibility and impact resistance; nonionic stabilizers are added to latex to prevent coagulation; effect of inert fillers and setting time on flexibility of plaster; rubberized plaster has lower water absorption and porosity than ordinary plaster; applications in building industry include wall coverings, lining, infilling between plaster boards, and sealing mastics.
