San Angelo dam -- Seven-mile earthfill
Earthfill dam on North Concho River, West Texas, designed to store 391,500 acre ft of water; construction of rolled earth dam involves placing and compacting 11,461,000 cu yd of fill; some 500,000 cu yd are being placed each month; dragline with 3 cu yd bucket, loader with capacity of 800 cu yd per hr and dump trucks are in use.
