Steel-alloy bars used in prestressed concrete
Method of prestressing concrete members by using bars of high tensile steel alloy; special bars having tensile strength of 70 tons per sq in. will shortly be available in diam up to 1 1/8 in. with threaded ends and anchorages; new type jack applies direct pull of 35 to 42 tons; test results.
