Prefab forms erected and stripped fast
Preassembled forms, with reinforcing steel attached speeded construction of foundation walls for New York Union Bus Terminal; 4 × 8-ft panels of 3/4-in. plywood and 2 × 4-in. framing, were assembled into units 28 by 24 ft; units were set on concrete sills and braced with A-frames; concrete was cast in 4-ft lifts, then panels were stripped, forms swinging away from wall as crane raised them because of location of center gravity.
