Laboratory built for Portland Cement Assn in Skokie, Ill, is designed and equipped for testing of concrete and aggregates under extreme conditions; precision equipment can measure to 1/100,000 of in. or weight to 1/10,000 of gram; 1,000,000 lb compression machine can test strength of concrete specimens 30 ft long and 10 ft wide; first floor plan shows layout of laboratories and offices; building details described.
