Notes on concrete in general and Portland cement concrete in particular
Electron microscope study of cement hardening supports author's theory that there are two distinct constituents in Portland cement; tricalcium silicate which promotes initial hardening and dicalcium silicate which promotes subsequent slow increase of hardening. (see also English abstract in Cement and Lime Mfr v 23 n 2 May 1950 p 41-3) (Edition of Science et Industrie)
