39-story steel frame is founded on concrete piers carried down to 40 ft below grade; 13,500 tons of structural steel erected in 23 weeks; in same time, 5400 windows and glass spandrels, and 200 tons of Vermont marble were set; walls consist of 8-in. brick and 4-in. facing; wind load resistance; data on elevators; building is air conditioned and equipped with radiant heating.
