Four-story masonry monastery at Cap de la Madeleine, Que, was moved 261 1/2 ft on 200,000 ball bearings by hydraulic jacks exerting thrust of 320 tons; 40-hp electric motor provided pressure for hydraulic pump; building moved 5 ft in 4 min.
