Wyoming replaces concrete bridges across platte river at Torrington
Removal of two bridges and their replacement with one new bridge; new bridge will be 357 ft long, made up of steel I-beam spans resting on reinforced concrete piers and abutments; middle four spans are made continuous with simple beam span used on each end; roadway is 30 ft wide having sidewalk on each side; concrete of old bridge removed with "headache ball"; pier foundations dewatered by well point system.
