Term articulated covers bus where there is 4- or 6-wheel front section of orthodox design, and 2-wheel trailer permanently coupled to front unit, whole made flexible unit through use of central turntable and special arrangement of rearmost wheels; Viberti Torino S.A. built 300 motor bus and 130 trolley bus versions of articulated design; experience made in Milan, Turin, Bologna, Rome, Germany, Austria, Denmark, etc; vehicles are designed to carry 200 passengers, 2/3 of them standing; provided passengers would accept more standing than is general pattern now, one-man operation of 60-ft vehicle would be possible between periphery car parks and city centers.
