Optimum size of crushing during hydraulic transportation of rock in open pits
Under conditions of hydraulic handling of rocks by means of suction dredge to distances over 2000-2500 m, efficiency may be achieved by maximum crushing of rock; selection of diameter of pipe does not depend entirely on size of rock fragments handled, since optimum size of fragment handled to distance of 500-1000 m is smaller than 1/3 diam of pipe.
