Landslides and pleistocene deposits in Meikle river valley of northern Alberta
Three hundred foot section of post-glacial lacustrine silts, clayey glacial till, and heavily overconsolidated sediments was explored by test drilling in connection with railway route survey; valley walls are cut by continuous series of landslides; "mature" and "youthful" landslide profiles were recognized as representing different stages in development of valley; lateral erosion by river is keeping many landslides in unstable condition and this situation will continue in future.
