Engineering geology of cody highway tunnels, park county, wyoming
First stage of investigation was preliminary study after pioneer bore of tunnel 1 and previous to full excavation of tunnel 1 and boring of tunnels 2 and 3; final stage of study consisted of supplementary mapping and recommendations for remedial treatment of relevant geologic conditions following full excavation of 3 tunnels; 3 tunnels traverse Precambrian gneissic complex consisting of hornblende-mica schist, granodiorite, and granite pegmatites; remedial treatment required by adverse geologic conditions.
