A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
Use of soil-cement, in place of usual 1:5:10 concrete, in foundations of experimental school building at Central Building Research Institute, Roorkee is described; comparative costs of lean concrete and soil-cement are indicated and it is contended that latter is cheaper and stronger; soil-cement may also replace brickwork of wall below ground.
