Installation of foundations for new furnaces, mills, etc was part of major expansion and development program in steelworks at Haulbowline, Ireland; steel making process, open hearth furnace and melting shop building, column foundations, blooming and section mills, substations, scale well, pump chamber, salt water intake, galvanizing plant, casting bay, and jetty constructed to accommodate increased volume of shipping, are described.
