Power line crossing Seto inland sea (Chushi power line)
Studies are reported of conductors, insulators, line hardware, structure of high steel towers, shape of foundation and construction procedure for 220 kv line, running across 6 straits; longest span is 2357 m between Ohkunoshima island and Chugoku, at other sections spans range from about 1000 to 2000 m; principal design data of line are presented.
