Water consumption in Colorado river valley
Average annual water consumption in lower Colorado River valley between Davis Dam and Imperial Dam during period 1950 to 1966 is about 1,200,000 acre-ft, average of values computed by inflow-out-flow- budget, and consumptive-use coefficients applied to acreages; estimates of water consumption computed by each of methods differ by 115,000 acre-ft for some reaches; differences are not considered unreasonable in view of large flows of Colorado River relative to water consumed and uncertainties of many of values of individual items of two methods.
