Reaeration prediction in natural streams
Reaeration coefficient is shown to be proportional to vertical mass transfer coefficient at surface and inversely proportional to square of average depth; constant is evaluated from experimental data for various scales of flow and resulting single equation is shown to have greater accuracy, cover wider range of flow scales, and be less sensitive to variations in basic data than currently used methods of prediction.
