Euler beams on two parameter foundation model
Computer program for analysis and design of finite length beams on soil subjected to general loadings and end support conditions; Vlasov model was used; results from examples indicated that maximum beam deflection increased with increasing soil layer thickness to critical thickness beyond which layer thickness had negligible influence; this critical thickness was found to be inversely proportional to elastic modulus of soil and distribution of displacements within soil media.
