Improvement of convergence in approximate ultimate load design of frames; numerical computations of frames by previously presented method (see Engineering Index 1966 p 2965) showed that convergence is obtained only in cases of very large eccentricity of loads acting on frame legs; in present article this method is further investigated, and improved mathematical treatment is proposed which shows very advantageous convergence behavior even in cases of very slender frames with small eccentricity.
