Effect of normalizing temperature on cold brittleness and mechanical properties of 09G2 steel; after normalizing from upper region of intercritical range (from 825 to 875 C with Ac3 equals 870 C), critical brittleness temperature of 09G2 steel is 40 to 50 degrees lower than after normalizing from austenite range; this ensures refinement of structure and more uniform distribution of pearlite; after strain aging (250 C for 1 hr), critical brittleness temperature is reduced by 25 to 30 degrees.
