Le nouveau stade de glace de Grenoble
New ice rink stadium in Grenoble; roof covering stadium consists of two mutually intersection pairs of prestressed concrete vaults supported on four abutments disposed at sides and corners of 61×91 m rectangle; two large vaults have 91 m span 19 m rise 48 m overhang, two small ones have 61 m span 14 m rise 33 m overhang; each abutment is founded on 12 piles 100 cm diam 26 m deep and supports load of 3500 tons; halves of vaults were concerted consecultively to enable removal of centering by means of original method entailing vertical sliding motion of vault key edge over Teflon-covered steel plates placed along key seam.
