Utilisation of cement-stabilized waste materials in road construction
Extent to which road construction industry can use low-grade and waste materials for base and sub-base construction is considered; paper discusses advantages and disadvantages of use of such materials on practical economic and aesthetic considerations; chalk, pulverized fuel ash, colliery shale, and quarry wastes are dealt with and it is shown that when they are stabilized with cement they can all be made suitable for use in road pavement construction.
