Definitive computations of sand discharge in rivers
Procedure for analytic determination of sand transport in streams presented is especially adaptable to computer programming; it was tested by application and comparison with observed data in various types of rivers, under full range of flow conditions, and to model flume experiments conducted under varying flow conditions with bed sands varying in size and size distribution; results by this procedure can be used in studies involving sand transport, design of channels, and assessment of effects of channel modification.
