Construction phase and operations of Culver City High School Auditorium in southern California are discussed; fan shaped concrete dome segment consists of 11 V-shaped precast sectors which in their final position subtend 159° and cover seating area for 1375 persons; structure was designed as system of radial thin plate arches acting in conjunction with buttress; sectors were precast in two stacks on site; arched superstructure was completed before backstage cylinder was started.
